What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected
Individuals who sign up to receive updates from The Humanitarian & Development Foundation, Georgia
voluntarily provide us with contact information. We may use this information for specific, limited
purposes. Users may always "opt out", either now or at any time in the future, if they do not wish to
receive our messages.
IP addresses
The Humanitarian & Development Foundation, Georgia may use a user's IP addresses to help diagnose problems
with our server, to administer www.humanitarian.ge, and for statistical metrics used to track website
visitor traffic.
How User Information May Be Used
We use personal information to provide users with personalised service; to send e-mail alerts to them;
to answer their requests; etc. Users may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease all
communications from us. We may also use user information to track visitors of our website. This lets us
see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our users' needs. It also lets us
provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying users personally, but showing how many
visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.
E-Mail Privacy
The Humanitarian & Development Foundation, Georgia does not provide, reveal, sell or rent e-mail
addresses to anyone outside the organisation. We populate and maintain mailing lists separately from any
information which is submitted via our "Contact Us" form. Information submitted via our "Contact Us"
form is stored on our server, but this is used solely for the purpose of enabling us to respond to users'
enquiries in an efficient and timely manner. We will never ourselves publish user e-mails will appear on
any web page at www.humanitarian.ge, either in direct view, or in a hyperlink.
The mailing list management system which we use was custom designed for us, specifically, to prohibit the inclusion of e-mail addresses which have not been verified by their rightful users. This system maintains a residual record of a user's e-mail address, should they decide to "opt out" of our mailing list, together with the date on which they unsubscribed from our list. This information is used to alert the user via e-mail if their e-mail address is subsequently used in a further request to subscribe to our mailing list.
Users who request information from us are automatically assigned a unique user identification code. This code is only displayed in e-mails to the user, for the sole purpose of allowing only them to verify their own e-mail address or to unsubscribe from our e-mail service, and also at a special page which can only be accessed via a coded link which is sent to the user, for the express purpose of allowing them to verify their own address prior to receiving regular e-mails from us. It is in the user's own best interest that they ensure this identification number is not transmitted to a third party by way of forwarding or copying their personal e-mail to someone else. Our regular e-mails may provide a special link which will provide a user with a secure means to forward a particular e-mail to someone else, which will guarantee that their personal user identification code remains secret.

www.humanitarian.ge may include links to external websites. These links do not fall under the
humanitarian.ge domain, and The Humanitarian & Development Foundation, Georgia is not responsible for
the privacy practices or the content of external websites. Use of any linked website is solely at our
users' own risk.
